I am a Consultant Eye Surgeon working in the Nuffield Hospital,  Newcastle upon Tyne, England.

My NHS post was at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle, from 2001 to 2023.

Since 2023, I work as a Partner and cataract surgeon at Newmedica Newcastle, operating on NHS and Private patients.

My NHS post is part-time as a Consultant cataract surgeon , Nobles Hospital , Isle of Man, where I work for 2 weeks every 2 months.

I have 22 years’ experience as a Consultant Ophthalmologist, currently performing over 1500 adult cataract operations per year.

I offer a bespoke cataract surgery service so that each person has vision that matches his or her needs and expectations.

I have created this website to provide information about the service I offer and about cataract surgery in general.

If you wish to see me, we would have a half hour Consultation at our first meeting. I will carefully assess your eye, and discuss the best type of lens replacement to meet your needs, take all measurements and book you in for surgery . Normally, within 3 weeks, you will have your first eye surgery and usually both eyes will have had surgery within 5 weeks of our meeting.
